๐Ÿ›’ INGREDIENTS

๐Ÿฅฉ 1 Lb -> Ground Beef (or Chicken/Pork)

๐Ÿง„ 4 Cloves -> Garlic (Minced)

๐ŸŒถ๏ธ 2-3 -> Thai Bird's Eye Chilies (Chopped)

๐ŸŒฑ 1 Cup -> Fresh Holy Basil (or Sweet Basil)

๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ 1 Tbsp -> Cooking Oil

๐Ÿณ 1 Large -> Egg (For the top!)

๐Ÿš 2 Cups -> Cooked Jasmine Rice (For serving)

 

๐Ÿงช THE SAUCE MIX

------------------------------------------------------------

๐Ÿฆช 2 Tbsp -> Oyster Sauce

๐Ÿงช 1 Tbsp -> Soy Sauce

๐ŸŸค 1 Tsp -> Dark Soy Sauce (for color)

๐Ÿฏ 1 Tsp -> Sugar

๐Ÿ’ง 1 Tbsp -> Water

 

โฑ๏ธ TIME: Prep: 10 mins | Cook: 5 mins

๐Ÿ”ฅ HEAT: High / Screaming Hot Wok

๐Ÿณ STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

1. ๐Ÿงช PREP THE SAUCE

[๐Ÿฆช + ๐Ÿงช + ๐ŸŸค + ๐Ÿฏ + ๐Ÿ’ง] -> Whisk together in a small bowl ๐Ÿฅฃ.

 

2. ๐Ÿง„ CRUSH THE AROMATICS

[๐Ÿง„ + ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ] -> Pound together in a mortar & pestle or finely chop.

 

3. ๐Ÿณ FRY THE PERFECT EGG

[๐Ÿณ + ๐Ÿ›ข๏ธ -> ๐Ÿฅต] -> Get oil hot in a pan. Fry egg until edges are ๐Ÿฅ“ crispy.

[๐Ÿณ -> ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ] -> Remove egg and set aside. Keep the yolk runny ๐Ÿซ !

 

4. ๐Ÿฅฉ SIZZLE THE BEEF

[๐Ÿง„ + ๐ŸŒถ๏ธ -> ๐Ÿฅต] -> Toss aromatics into the hot pan. Stir-fry for 30 secs โฑ๏ธ.

[+ ๐Ÿฅฉ] -> Add ground beef. Break it up with a spatula ๐Ÿฅ„.

[โณ 3 Mins] -> Cook until the beef is beautifully browned.

 

5. ๐ŸŽจ SAUCE & BASIL

[๐Ÿฅฉ + ๐Ÿงช] -> Pour in your sauce mix. Stir fast until absorbed.

[๐Ÿ”ฅ -> ๐Ÿ“ด] -> Turn off the heat!

[+ ๐ŸŒฑ] -> Toss in the fresh basil. Fold until it just wilts ๐Ÿƒ.

 

6. ๐Ÿš PLATE IT UP

[๐Ÿš] -> Scoop hot jasmine rice onto a plate.

[+ ๐Ÿฅฉ] -> Spoon the saucy, spicy beef right next to it.

[+ ๐Ÿณ] -> Crown it with your crispy fried egg.
